Creative problem solver, empathetic listener & curious observer of the world around me.

Before discovering the fascinating world of design I worked as an investigative journalist, television producer and as a strategic communication manager. My previous careers took me across the African continent, interacting with many different people which helped me develop a wide world-view and the ability to understand and empathise easily.

Now, why would anyone leave such an interesting career you may ask? Well the short answer is that curiosity is my oxygen. I love learning and trying new things. Early adopter would definitely describe me – “don’t knock it till you’ve tried it”  is my motto.

That curious nature lead me to design. I scoured the web looking for a way into the the world of design. In 2018 I came across the Interaction Design Foundation which opened my mind to possibilities I could never have imaged.

Armed with theoretical knowledge, in early 2020 BC (before corona), I was privileged to be selected to join the inaugural Freethinking Graduate Accelerator Programme. This 5-month deep delve into the world of design and consulting has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, helping me discover my unique strengths and weaknesses not only as a designer but as a human being.

Below I tried to give you a succinct overview of my professional life but you can also take a look at my resume for more detail.
